Do you know that there are 18 blessings in life? Well, the number 18 means life also. It's interesting how it all began, and please let me summarize it from what I've learned for the 18 blessings prayer. 

This is not a bullet proof list, so I hope you can fill your life with this 18 blessings structure also.

There are 3 parts of 18 blessings that I shall try to summarize:

First part is recognizing that everything there is (was, yet to become and currently) is from God. 

1. We thank you for God our ancestors, God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (you can list your lineage ancestors also here). 

2. We thank you for God's power and abilities to perform the miracles we have right now: health, peace, joy, acquaintances, fingers, hairs, etc. 

3. We thank you for God's holiness and everything God creates is in fact, is holy and meant for good. 

The other 13 blessings are for communal and individual needs:
I thought the blessings should be health or money or perhaps glory; but apparently what I want or planned to have is only a derivatives of it.

4. Understanding (Binah) 
Well, apparently the fruit of knowledge since Adam and Eve are meant for life either. To refuse to understand the truth, is simply refusing a blessings or your own potentials.

Real life 18 Benedict things to do: We shall seek renewable ways to sustain people's life with all the knowledge and work we need to be done. I would need your help on this and every effort made shall be paid using a point that you can redeem in the future for things that are produced in the community. 5. Repentance (Teshuvah) 
I think this is the part when we didn't know or refuse to know the truth, and still hinder ourselves to acknowledge the truth and feeling wasted for it. 

18 Benedict things to do: well, let's acknowledge that we all need food and shelter and energy and we wish it to be free flow all the time. Will it be possible? Let's repent (stop doing the things that we know it won't bring good) and let's do something good together, hence forgiveness.

6. Forgiveness (Selach) 
People said forgiving give lives to those who receive it as well for the one who release it. Well, let's forgive ourselves by doing something good together, something that we know it will safe our ass and a lot of people ass also, for the sake of having an ass and not being an assh**e on it. 

18 Benedict things to do: We start doing something for ourselves that we know it's true and right for us to help ourselves (plant a food, make an independent energy home)

7. Redemption (Ge'ulah) 
Apparently being saved/ redeemed is part of the blessings. It means you are entitled to receive this blessings despite your debts / weaknesses. It's all been paid and you're entitled to enjoy the blessings, if only you are willing to acknowledge it.

18 Benedict things to do: Try to download the app that we made and see yourself immerse in the program for full redemption journey to sustainability.


8. Healing (Refu'ah) 
Healing starts when we have managed to reverse ourselves from all reap no sow attitude, into: "hey, if I eat this, how will it impact myself in the long run?" I think it's not how you need to contribute everything for others, but really more of like: "will it do good for you now and in the long run?" knowing what you choose right now perfectly shall help you to decide better in the future.

9. Blessing for the years (Birkat Ha-Shanim) 
Hence when you know perfectly what you want in the future until years ahead, you don't think about yourself only, you'll think about how the future shall help you grow safe and better together. Because you know by time what you invest now shall made an impact for you and others. Even as you grow old.

10. Regathering of the exiles (Kibbutz Galuyot) 
Well, this part is actually to collect the people who feel they don't belong where they are right now. Maybe their environment made them that way or certain beliefs to act a certain way, etc. 

Whatever your struggle is, the blessings to be where you fit in, shall take time. It may change you first or even your surroundings. And it starts by acknowledging, maybe, we're a unique person that doesn't have to be all the same, but rather complete each other with what we have.

18 Benedict: Try to connect to our community platform


11. Restoration of justice 
This part might be bias, as we understand work hard then you're entitled for things. Or if you're not smart enough / know certain people then maybe you'd be stuck on that career ladder for years. And you can wait for another generation / your kid to open that opportunity for you.

Well, justice is about right / wrong, it's not about the same opportunity for same person. Or a typical same person is entitled the same things. 

It's more of a clear opportunity and pathways for all people to achieve their potentials. It's not a radical left honestly; it's like a fact of truth. Just like when you were born = people want you to be alive? (well, maybe) Well, it's the same thing with opportunity for life. Why would we need to tamper one's opportunity if we have abundant opportunity ahead of us?

So, it's not radical left; it's rather living your life with full of blessings.

18 Benedict: find your community and build your potentials even when no one is paying you. But I think you need to get it paid asap anyway. 



12. Support for the righteous 
I think this means that if you want to enjoy the right thing, sometimes you have to stand up for those who speak out the truth. It may not be enjoyable all the time, but just as you want life, sometimes you have to fight for it.

13. Rebuilding of heaven on earth
They say earth is like heaven, only if you go away from the crazy people. Well, perhaps the same very essence why it can be similar to heaven is to reach out to each other and be crazy about how heaven should be like. 

Then we can start thinking something that is less crazy for ourselves, but more like crazy awesome for the long run. 

18 Benedict: We foster research and growth regardless of economic pursuit.


Last part: Express gratitude to God

A. Thanks for the restoration of God's presence to Zion (I think this is earth) by bringing blessings and peace in this world.

18 Benedict: if you have to make war, make the crop grows like they would surround you for life with foods and better living. And if yet you still need to fight for it (like actual war), at least your physical well being has been trained for it (by making crops grow like everywhere).


B. Thanks for the continual wonders and benefits of God's daily miracles. 
Now, I know maybe we can find unfit things to be grateful about (let's say when the tomatoes grow green instead of red). But it's part of God's miracle (or you can just say our miracle that we can survive our weirdness to this day) and enjoy your learning process.
